At Family Focused Psychology Services Ltd, we sometimes need to keep information about you so we can help you.

Why do we keep information?

We keep information so we can:

  • Book and remind you about appointments
  • Give you the right help and support
  • Write reports if needed
  • Take payments

What kind of information?

This might include:

  • Your name
  • Your address, phone number, or email
  • Information about your health or feelings (so we can help you properly)

Is my information safe?

Yes. We:

  • Keep paper files in locked cabinets
  • Protect computers with passwords
  • Only let people who need the information see it
  • Follow UK data protection laws

Will you tell anyone else?

Everything you tell us is private.

We would only share your information if:

  • You (or your parent/carer) say it’s okay
  • We are very worried about someone’s safety
  • The law says we must share it

Can I see my information?

Yes. You (or your parent/carer) can ask to see the information we keep about you.

How long do you keep it?

We keep information for several years up to you being 25 years old because the law says we must. After that, we safely destroy it.

What if I’m worried?

If you or your parent/carer have questions, you can contact us.
You can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office ico.org.uk/for-the-public/  if you are unhappy with how your information is handled.
