Psychological Assessments for Court

Family Focused offers individual psychological therapy for adults. For most of us, there are times when we will experience emotional and psychological distress. This can be the result of a particular event or set of circumstances, or sometimes the cause is not always obvious. Sometimes support from friends and family is not available or not able to make a difference.

Family Focused aims to provide a safe, reliable and empathic therapeutic relationship within which you can explore and understand the difficulties, and figure out what to do next.

This list is not exhaustive. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your specific situation and to explore if psychological therapy would be useful.

We work from a range of psychological approaches and aim to work with you to find the best approach to your particular dilemma’s.

Common difficulties we can help with include:

Low mood / depression

Anxiety, worries and stress

Anger and aggression

Family difficulties

Domestic violence

Trauma / PTSD

Coping with the consequences of abuse

Unresolved or complex grief and bereavement

Adjustment to difficulties following significant life events such as divorce

Sometimes we offer parents individual therapy as a way of helping improve their child’s emotional well-being.

This is because parents are the most important person in a child’s life and it is really important to look after your own psychological and emotional well-being so you can provide the best support for your child.
